FIT & NY Public Library Launch Digital Fashion Drawing & Sketch Archive

March 18, 2012

Forget Pinterest. Forget Tumblr. We’re about to kick it old school.  The Picture Collection of the New York Public Library and the Special Collections & FIT Archives of the Fashion Institute of Technology Library have collaborated in launching a digital archive of fashion drawings and sketches by André Fashion Studios.

Made up over 5,000 original drawings, the collection titled André Studios 1930-1941: Fashion Drawings & Sketches in the Collections of the Fashion Institute of Technology and the New York Public Library, will surely be a thriving source of inspiration to designers young and old.  The best part?  Its completely FREE.  Comparable to the VOGUE archive that can run you up to $1500 a year, these images will be available to anyone that comes looking.  You’ll be able to browse, zoom, and send images straight from the source.  Check them out here.
